Basic Life Support and AED – half day

Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an AED

Someone suffering from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest can have their chance of survival significantly increased if their condition is recognised early and help is called, they receive prompt and effective CPR, a defibrillator is available and used, and they are taken to hospital for advanced care as early as possible.

It is for this reason that in recent years, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) have become increasingly common in both workplaces and community/public settings.

This nationally recognised, level 2 accredited course provides training in basic life support and resuscitation, as well as giving learners the knowledge to use an AED confidently and competently.
